Brewer Science will need to use your personal information in order to deliver insight into our operations, product information, and services to you. The data we collect includes information relating to any of the following:

Brewer Science may also use different methods to collect information from and about you. We may, for example, collect information directly from you when you use our services or provide information via our website, indirectly through third parties such as Google and other third-party marketing tools, or through public sources.

Currently, we use a third-party marketing tool, Hotjar, to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize our services and experience when using our website. This technology service helps Brewer Science better understand our users’ experience (e.g., how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our services with user feedback. It uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices. This data includes a device’s IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website. No other personal data is shared with Brewer Science. This information is stored on our behalf in a pseudonymized user profile. This third party is contractually forbidden to sell any of the data collected on our behalf.

When accessing our website, we do not collect or require special categories of personal information under the definitions in the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) enacted by the European Union (“EU”) and United Kingdom GDPR or ‘biometric data’ and/or household data defined under the California Consumer Protection Act (“CCPA”).

THE VALUE OF INFORMATION – How we use your personal data

Brewer Science does not sell, distribute, or use the information we gather for any purpose other than for which it was collected without first getting your express permission to do so or unless we reasonably use it for another reason that is compatible with the original purpose. We also do not use your information for activities for the benefit of Brewer Science without appropriate consideration for its impact on you (unless we have your consent or are otherwise required or permitted to by law).

Please view our Privacy Notice for Corporate and Community Contacts regarding the personal data that is collected and utilized in the context of providing a service to the company/community you represent.

When accessing our website, we will use your personal data:

If you have consented to the use of your information, you have the right to withdraw consent at any time by contacting us or updating your contact preferences. If you withdraw your consent or update your contact preferences, Brewer Science may not be able to provide you with information regarding certain products and services.

This service is provided free of charge to you.

Please note that if your complaint is not resolved through these channels, under limited circumstances, a binding arbitration option may be available before an EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework Panel.

Brewer Science is subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

RETENTION OF DATA – How long do we hold your data?

Unless Brewer Science has received a request for data to be deleted or an individual has proactively unsubscribed from our marketing activities, we will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which we collect it, including for the purpose of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

KEEPING DATA SECURE – What do we do in the unlikely event of a security breach?
